The Quantization of Anomalous Gauge Field Theory
ABSTRACT We discuss the so called gauge invariant quantization of anomalous gauge field theory, originally due to Faddeev and Shatashvili. It is pointed out that the further non invariance of relevant path integral measures poses a problem when one tries to translate it to BRST formalism. The method by which we propose to get around of this problem introduces certain arbitrariness in the model....
متن کاملQuantization of the scalar field in a static quantum metric
We investigate Hamiltonian formulation of quantum scalar fields in a static quantum metric. We derive a functional integral formula for the propagator. We show that the quantum metric substantially changes the behaviour of the scalar propagator and the effective Yukawa potential.
متن کاملQuantization and eigenvalue distribution of noncommutative scalar field theory
The quantization of noncommutative scalar field theory is studied from the matrix model point of view, exhibiting the significance of the eigenvalue distribution. This provides a new framework to study renormalization, and predicts a phase transition in the noncommutative φ model. In 4-dimensions, the corresponding critical line is found to terminate at a non-trivial point.
متن کاملSolving Gauge Field Theory by Discretized Light-Cone Quantization
The canonical front form Hamiltonian for non-Abelian SU(N) gauge theory in 3+1 dimensions is mapped on an effective Hamiltonian which acts only in the Fock space of one quark and one antiquark. The approach is non-perturbative and exact. It is based on Discretized Light-Cone Quantization and the Method of Iterated Resolvents. The method resums the diagrams of perturbation theory to all orders i...
متن کاملNon-fixing Gauge Field Quantization
The gauge field theories are usually quantized by fixing gauge. In this paper, we propose a new formalism that quantizes gauge fields without gauge fixing but naturally follows canonical formalism. New physical implications will follow. Gauge symmetry is often indispensable because relativistic system usually need gauge symmetry. If it were not for gauge symmetry for a vector or tensor field, w...
